Michael Rosario-Graycar studied martial arts for more than 25 years. He was introduced to boxing and Karate-do at a very early age. In 1996, he started Wing Chun and achieved assistant instructor in Wing Chun Gung Fu. Several months later he met with and began concurrently training Taijiquan (Taiji/Tai Chi Chuan) under Master Ren Guang Yi, senior disciple of Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang. After about 3 1/2 years of practicing Wing Chun Michael devoted himself full-time to Chen style training under Master Ren. He also trained privately with Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang, Grandmaster Chen, Xiaoxing and Master Chen, Bing.

Michael's martial experience included boxing, karate, Aikido, JF/Jeet Kune Do, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and Filipino stick & knife fighting. He also specialized in training law enforcement and bodyguard personnel such as Jericho Defense, Inc. He trained personal self-protection for various organizations like City Year and Lady of America.

From his commitment to traditional internal martial arts, in 2002, Michael opened the Phoenix Martial Arts Center in Norristown and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2010, Michael started the Gracie Garage where he teaches the Gracie Combatives Program (Gracie Jui-Jitsu). And to finalize his Jiu-Jitsu training Michael traveled to LA to train at the Gracie Academy under Rener and Ryon Gracie.

Michael was diagnosed with a serious illness in 2012. He passed away on June 22, 2014.
